Ribavirin mitochondrial toxicity

In-vitro and experimental data argue for a positive interaction between ribavirin and didanosine. Both zidovudine and stavudine are known causes of mitochondrial dysfunction, and ribavirin has been shown in vitro to antagonize phosphorylation to their active triphosphate forms [3, 4]
